• Question: what is a craniofacil biologist ?? would you not put the money on something eles insted of a new web cam or pc ?? is there not anything eles you would buy with it ??

      Hi Channi

      A craniofacial biologist is someone who specialises in the biology and anatomy of the head, face and mouth (including the teeth). My work is trying to create new treatments to regenerate and repair the facial bones that can be damaged by accidents or surgery for head and neck cancers and to help teeth regenerate after tooth decay so that your fillings are smaller and last longer.

      As for the prize money, it has to be spent on something to do with public engagement (getting you involved in our science) so I think the best way is to make films, webisodes, etc to circulate through internet to the public and schools. Would love to buy a nice new flat screen plasma TV for my office, but it isn’t really allowed in the rules.
