I studied in Scotland so my GCSE equivalents are:
Arithmetic, Chemistry, English, French, Mathematics, Modern Studies, Physics
I guess that French and Modern Studies weren’t really essential to become a scientist though.
I took Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology GCSEs and then Maths, Physics and Chemistry A-levels to be an engineer. I don’t think Biology GCSE would be a requirement but it is really interesting.
