• Question: to Hywel -what model type of car is it that you are aiming to reach 1000mph with?

      Hi talbot,
      The car we are using is specifically designed to reach 1000mph – everything is a custom build – so there is no ‘model’. We haven’t taken a traditional car and modified it, instead we have designed and are building the car from scratch. Most cars are too small to hold the engines we need… our car is 13 metres long and weights six and a half tonnes when fully fuelled.
