Many scientists do believe in a personal god, but those that do almost universally agree that the existence of god cannot be proven or disproven by science. If an all-knowing God wished not to be detected, then our mortal intelligence would be unable to produce an experiment to detect her (or him). So, the existence of god then becomes a matter of faith alone.

I don’t know – I think the most important thing is to follow your own feelings on this one.

For some people yes – very real indeed, but science cannot prove or disprove the existence of a God. As a scientist, I like evidence to prove a theory, but it is possible that we are not yet developed enough or have evolved enough to pursue this.

For me, I have a faith which is personal to me, and for many people their faith can be calming, reassuring, protective and gives them strength and that can be a good thing

      What do you think?
Scientifically, there is no evidence either way – we cannot prove nor disprove God’s existence. That leaves it up to you to decide. Faith is an amazingly important thing to a lot of people, and can have a profound effect on people’s lives. All we can do is ask ourselves the question and listen to what you believe… only you can decide whether or not you believe in the existence of God.
