• Question: Is being a scientist interesting? Why?

      Hi

      It is interesting because you have the opportunity to find out answers to things we don’t know. And I like knowing things!

      Yes! Here are some reasons why I find it interesting:
      – in many science jobs you have a good deal of control over what you do (as long as you can justify your work to others)
      – you get do discover things that no-one else in the world knows
      – you get to meet interesting people
      – you get a glimpse of the elegant simplicity of the universe – that everything can be explained from a few basic “laws”
      – you get to travel
      – you get to be critical.
