• Question: If you there was something else you wanted to be apart from being a scientist, what would it be?

      That has to be one of the hardest questions to answer so far seffana!
      I love being a scientist, and I’m not sure that there could be anything else that would live up to the same level. If I were to choose one thing though, it would probably be something involving television… I always loved watching a programme called Tomorrow’s World http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomorrows_World when I grew up, and would love to be a presenter on that if it ever returned – getting to look at future technology and engaging with people across the country!

      Probably to be a doctor (which I have done for some part of my working life, both in Australia and the UK). Otherwise …

      To be a professional tennis player might be nice – travel the world, meet lots of people, earn some money, keep fit. Then again, 59 all in the 5th set (and still going) must be a hard work …

      Also, I’d like to write novels, trade stock and shares … too many things to squeeze into one lifetime!
