I’m glad you asked that snowdona, but answering it isn’t that straight forward.
Remember that the goal here is to inspire people… we are hoping to show you and every other child that with Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, ANYTHING is possible. If you believe that, then there is no end to what you can achieve. If we succeed in inspiring people, then it will help everyone. If you think what we might inspire to be the next Einstein or Da Vinci then who knows how the world might change!
In terms of the technology we use in the car, this again could help a whole range of people, but it is too early to tell exactly who. If you look at other great technology projects, they had a huge spin off in materials and science that we take for granted in our every day lives now.
If you look at the space programme, they first pioneered the technology behind Sat Nav, Shock absorbing shoes, air conditioning, flat screen TVs, batteries, ultrasound scanners, TV broadcasts… the list goes on and on. Who knows what might come about from this project and how it will help us all in the future… we shall just have to wait and see!
