Question: how long would a tooth last ?

Well if you look after them and have good oral hygiene, a human tooth should last all your life. The middle part of the tooth where the cells and nerves are will get smaller the older you get, but the teeth are designed to last for life. For your milk teeth, it depends how fast your permanent successors erupt into the mouth.
