      A few main reasons for wanting to work in a hospital:
      (1) You get to help people, face-to-face, on a daily basis; unlike in science, where advances are made more slowly, yet long-lastingly;
      (2) Studying medicine, you get to learn a lot of very interesting subjects;
      (3) The pay is better in medicine;
      (4) It is more social (you have to interact with a lot of different people all the time).
      So, lots of pluses there too.
