Question: Do you think cannabis should be legal? also, do you believe that cannabis helps cure cancer?

I wouldn’t legalize cannabis, because of its potential link to schizophrenia in young people (but I agree that the evidence isn’t very strong). There is also the question of whether legalizing cannabis would lead to more or less Category A drug use (like heroin). I think that there are good arguments on both sides, but I’d tend not to.

As to whether it cures cancer – I don’t believe that at all. However, in people being treated with aggressive chemotherapy (or in people with severe AIDs symptoms) it does reduce nausea, increase appetite, and allow people to maintain weight. So, there is some quite clearly demonstrated benefit in some cases. Keeping them well might contribute to the beating cancer, and might also allow more chemotherapy to be given to fight the cancer. So, indirectly, it might have some therapeutic effects.
