• Question: can a blackhole ruined the spacetime continuum?

      Well, it certainly puts a big dent in it! Close to a black hole, spacetime is bent, but it doesn’t make spacetime outside the event horizon (the boundary that marks the edge of a black hole) discontinuous – every 4-dimensional bit is still next to its neighbor. However, inside the event horizon I do think that its fair to say that spacetime is not continuous with the outside – but you’ve hit my physics limit, so I can’t be sure!
